CAMPUS LIFE

RECESS

Recess at Legacy is an intentional time for students to build friendships, stay active, and enjoy being kids. Throughout the week, students have access to a variety of spaces, including our gym, the Big Courtyard, and the Small Patio. On rainy days, our Youth Room provides a fun and engaging indoor option. These moments create natural opportunities for connection, encouragement, and community in a safe, Christ-centered environment.

COMMUNITY DAYS

We love creating opportunities for hands-on learning and meaningful connection. Each month, we plan an optional Community Day where families can gather, engage, and enjoy time together. Bring the whole family—we would love to have you join us.

SPECIAL EVENTS

From our Craft Fair, to Around the World Day, to Vacation Bible School, Harvest Festival, Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas Program, and more, our special events give students and families meaningful opportunities to learn, celebrate, and enjoy life together. Each one brings its own unique experience and helps make Legacy a place filled with joy, connection, and lasting memories.

MORNING PRAYER

We want our students to understand the importance of connecting with God every day. Each morning at drop-off, all of our classes gather together for prayer before heading to class.

CLASSES

Our campus instructors partner with parents by providing direct lessons while students are on campus. On home days, parents serve as the home teacher and primary educator for their student(s). In that role, parents guide, teach, and help refine their children’s work in a nurturing, Christ-centered home environment. Parents also remain responsible for meeting state accountability requirements, including PSA, charter, or PSP oversight.

CHAPEL

Chapel takes place on the first Tuesday of each month and centers on our monthly biblical theme and Scripture focus. LCA families are welcome to stay and join us as we worship, learn, and grow together. During chapel, students are also recognized for the unique character qualities God is developing in them through individualized character awards.

FIELD TRIPS

As much as we love our campus, we love leaving it too. From overnight adventures at Great Wolf Lodge, to exciting days at Knott’s Berry Farm, to learning experiences at the Aquarium of the Pacific and everywhere in between, our field trips create some of the best opportunities for students to build friendships, make memories, and grow together.

UNIFORMS

Our uniform policy is designed to encourage unity, school pride, and a focused learning environment. Uniforms help reduce distractions, simplify daily preparation for families, and reinforce a sense of belonging among our students. As a Christ-centered program, we also want what students wear to reflect modesty, order, and the values we are seeking to cultivate on campus.

Uniform colors will be announced soon.

Uniforms should be neat, modest, and well-fitting, in keeping with campus expectations.
